The site was in a very noise sensitive location and and the client wanted us to evaluate whether the design had sufficient noise management features to prevent creating unnecessary noise problems when they opened.
This was a classic example where the installer had supplied a design to meet the brief of the client without giving them any advice on the pitfalls of this solution. In this example the design was based solely on the aesthetic and completely missed the commercial requirements, it was also exceptionally expensive.
We were able to illustrate to the client that the design would not in fact work for their particular needs and did not represent best value for money. We presented some alternative products to them and also organised some demonstrations and in the end they went with a different installer and different system. The installation has been widely praised for sounding fantastic, they have good noise management and it saved them £16,000.00.
